Working Around Superman

Hey all!
I hope everyone is staying cool out there. Things are getting toasty here, if my air conditioner running continuously is any indication.
It’s been a lot of Superman on my end, happily so, but you can read all about that on my Substack if you like.
I’ve been in the studio, contending with an exceptionally strong pull back to Koduri to check on young Jan the Vagabond. Incidentally, if you’ve ever wondered whether telling a creator that you love their work and asking for more is effective, let me assure you, it is. The outpouring of love for Jan that I got at Tremendicon at the end of May is entirely the reason that he’s my reignited focus.
I’m immensely grateful!
But prose is still my first love, so, as always, I’m also plugging away at Sordid Deals for the Harrowed Earth entry of New Vision. I hope to have news for you on both fronts before the end of the year, but we’ll see how it goes. Fingers crossed!
Speaking of New Vision, in case you missed the announcement, Daniel Moler’s first entry in the novella side of our comic book/pulp fiction hybrid is out and ready for you to read! In it, his character, Psi-Strike—a fantastic pillar of New Vision—has his first appearance and origin!
Also, my short story, The Faust and the Fajitas, is included in the latest anthology from Outland Entertainment, I’ll Kill You Last. Twenty-plus horror novelists submitted stories, edited by Cullen Bunn, and all of the stories have that Cannon Films, 80s action vibe. Help us get it over the line on Kickstarter if that at all sounds like something you’d dig, too.
That’s all I’ve got so far as news. I’ll be at the Boozy Book Fest next weekend (July 26th, link below) and at GalaxyCon in October, my first St. Louis show!
Hope to see you in person!
Until next time,
A.C.
